Hello, Kevin,
Your article popped up at the right time. I’m starting to think about how I will start on the e-mail campaign issue.
You have made it quite clear how GetResponse with impartial remarks. The Step by step guide is very clear.
Just to know- do you offer any training about email marketing/Internet marketing? If so, how much does it costs?
Cheers,
Caito

ReplyI am an Internet marketer but I am new to the whole autoresponder services since, like you recommended, I have been focusing on creating content. Now I know the main aspects I need to look for in an autoresponder system. Good support is a must for me since I know I will be having several questions. This was very helpful thank you!
ReplyHi Juan,
Absolutely, before going into email marketing, you should first focus in content creation and getting a constant amount of traffic into your website.
GetResponse and Aweber, both offer a live chat support, so they are really good services. They will answer your questions almost instantly.
Nevertheless, if you feel confused or you don’t know where to start, you can feel free to reach me out for my help at kevin@residualincomesecrets.com. I don’t charge anything for help 😉

ReplyHey Kevin,
I’m an avid Email Marketer and truly know the power of email. I have used both AWeber and GetResponse (among several others) but, came back to GetResponse for the ease of use and flexibility. I love the personalization methods and the easy way I can drag and drop emails to reschedule them. The templates are stellar and the Landing Pages fantastic. If anyone that is reading this is still on the fence, take it from a full-time online marketer, GetResponse will not only make your life easier, you’ll see a HUGE return on investment.
Awesome GetResponse Email Marketing review, Kevin.
Cheers,
Pj Germain
ReplyHey Pj,
Nice to hear that you are enjoying the service of GetResponse. It’s a really good one and as you said, it’s really an excellent investment.
I also recommend Aweber for the ease of use and because it’s my current email marketing tool, but both are excellent in what they offer.
Nice to hear you experience with this!
All the best,
Kevin
ReplyI really enjoyed your review, and I will keep Get Response in mind when I decide to add email marketing to my website.
I am just starting out so now I don’t have enough followers to invest in an email campaign, but I know it will be a useful tool in the future. I think it would be awesome to create an email list in the future and let all my followers know when I post a new blog or when I write a new Ebook.
Eventually I want to be a professional blogger like Jeff Goins, and I know an email service will help me build subscribers and market my writing. Great review!
ReplyHey there,
I agree, if you are just starting don’t even think about setting up an email marketing campaign. Just bookmark this article as it might be useful once you are ready.
Jeff Goins is a respected internet marketer. It’s always good to have a reference in your business field, so very good indeed 😉
Cheers

ReplyHi Kevin,
Glad to come across your article while I am in the process of looking for a suitable tool for managing my email marketing activities. I’ll definitely give a try to GetResponse. I have checked out Aweber as well and as you mentioned, both services are similar. So which one will be recommend between these 2?
Thanks for your sharing
Louis
ReplyGreat review! I have not thought about email marketing but this made me think that maybe I should. I love that I can try this free for 30 days. I am trying hard to get my business started, but right now it seems I am just spending money. It is nice to access something that could be helpful without having to do so!
ReplyI have never used an auto-responder service before and I really don’t know how they work. So far with my online business I have not recieved any subscribers to my site that would alow me to utilize this tool effectively. I think this is how it works? Don’t I have to build up an email list first? What would you suggest I do to attract subscribers?
ReplyHi Troy,
To have subscribers you will need to have an autoresponder tool, either GetResponse, Aweber , ConvertKit, etc.
Once you have a tool, you can start gathering people to your list. try to offer something of great value to your audience.
If you need any help, don’t doubt to write me with your concerns at kevin@residualincomesecrets.com

ReplyIt is so frustrating when you can’t get people to join your email list. I will definitely bookmark your site and come back to it for more help. And wow that splash page with the ebook presented was a great touch. I strive to make my site as good as yours one day. Keep up the good work
ReplyHey Blake! Don’t give up with your email marketing mate. Soon you will have a very big list 😉
Try to see if the amount of traffic you are getting is good and if the incentive you are offering to your audience is catchy or not.
Hope to see you around here again soon 🙂
Kevin
ReplyHi kevin, Being new in the business of marketing I am glad you reviewed GetResponse. Your suggestion of waiting on getting an auto responder sounds like good advice. It is good to know they offer a university because I am uninformed on that subject. How many subscribers do you recommend I get before I look into getting a service?
ReplyHey Carroll,
Happy that you like my review 🙂
About your question, you don’t need to get subscribers prior to getting a service. If you are already having some decent traffic (ideally 20 to 30 unique visitors per day), I would recommend to start straight away from scratch. You will see that your list will grow very quick 😉
Cheers mate,
Kevin
ReplyI would agree with you on the fact that with new websites that do not have the traffic, there is not much sense in paying out for a service your not ready for yet.
Using the free trial periods is an excellent idea as well for finding out which one you would want to purchase when you are ready.
I take it if you use a free version while getting started that you can transfer your list of contacts to one of their paid versions afterwords?
ReplyHey, Travis.
Thanks for leaving a comment.
As regards your question, definitely you can transfer your subscribers from one service to another. As you said, the free trials are great to test with which service do you feel more comfortable.
Have a great day,
Kevin
ReplyHi Kevin! Nice review, thanks a lot! I have a website for 8 months now and I haven’t installed an autoresponder yet. My website has around 60 visitors per day, do you think this is the right time to do it?
I am interested in the GetResponse, but I am afraid to pay for it and not get the return. What’s the biggest difference from a free and paid autoresponder? Thanks a lot
Stefan
Hey Stefan!
60 visitors a day is absolutely perfect to start an email marketing campaign, well done!
Try the Getresponse Free trial and install SumoMe plugin (free too). On SumoMe you will have a feature called “Welcome Mat” that will increase the amount of subscribers to your list. Don’t miss that good amount of traffic you have!

ReplyThis is really great information about email marketing. The tip at the end was priceless and much appreciated. Do you have an ideal traffic amount once someone has started blogging to try either of these services? If you don’t mind me asking, why is your current personal preference Aweber which has less features? Do you have any price comparisons between the two?
ReplyHi Krys,
A good amount of traffic to start an email marketing campaign is 20-30 unique visitors a day to your website. With that, you can do a very good start 😉
I am currently using Aweber because they offered me a lifetime discount some time ago. If you ask me, I personally prefer GetResponse because it has a lot more features, free training, etc. which Aweber hasn’t.
Here you can see the pricing options:
Do not hesitate to reach me out in case you have any doubt 🙂

ReplyDefinitely the most useful article I’ve read all day. Clear unbiased information is hard to come by and extremely valuable. I have to agree on all these points, as I’ve worked with several different email marketing solutions and also use Aweber the most often. I do like Benchmark Email for the unlimited free trial period.
ReplyHi there Kevin,
Thanks for this review on Getresponse. I’ve been thinking of starting some email marketing campaign and was contemplating between a few services out there.
Question;
1 – Is this service available worldwide?
2 – Does the Basic 1000 subscriber comes with Landing Page feature as well?
Thank you again.
ReplyHi Cathy, Let me answer your questions:
1- GetResponse is a Worldwide service. There are no limitations.
2- Yes, GetResponse provides Landing Pages with the basic plan
If you are about to start email marketing, I recommend you to start the Getresponse free trial because you don’t need to put your credit card. There are other services that offer a free trial but a credit card will be required (example: Aweber).
Don’t hesitate to reach me out if you have any doubt or question at kevin@residualincomesecrets.com
Thank you,
Kevin
ReplyHi Kevin,
Thank you so much for this review. I am currently trying out Aweber. I am looking for a few more features, so I will be reviewing Get response as well. Great job with this review. Would you mind explaining the difference between a landing page and your website. I have heard of it before but I want to make sure I am on the right track with it.
Thanks a bunch for a great review.
Best,
Tonya
ReplyHi Tonya,
I think you are asking about the opt-in page that appears on my website (about the free ebook) vs a landing page, right?
A landing page is a static page that is part of your website. You can use it to “sell” a Product or service or Also to have subscribers.
On the other hand, The pop up opt-in in my website is not a static page included in my website. It’s just an opt-in which I created with the SumoMe plugin.
Let me know if This helps ?
ReplyVery nice review on this email marketing program, may I ask why are you not using this program now and would you be willing to share what program you are using now and why?
Is email marketing still a big part of success with an online business today, many people get ignored with those pop ups to get you to sign up?
ReplyI’m not using GetResponse because I took advantage of an offer from Aweber to get their service at the lower cost lifetime. 🙂 but I have used GetResponse and it is excellent too.
Undoubtedly, email marketing is a key contributor to online business success.
ReplyI actually used this bunch about a year back because they had a free account that allowed a limited amount of addresses within – I thought they were very good especially considering I wasn’t paying for the account. I have also heard they offer SMTP services – do you know if this is true or not?
ReplyI haven’t heard of any SMTP services but you can check on their website http://www.getresponse.com
